1What is the HCT Polaris Oslo Tour Stop?
HCT Polaris Oslo Tour Stop is a part of Blizzards Hearthstone Championship Tour and is a Grand Prix event taking place on 24th and 25th of March at Ballroom in Oslo, Norway.
2What is a Grand Prix event and what format is it?
The Grand Prix event is played 100% on-site and on location in Oslo, from beginning to end and every participating competitor needs to bring their own devices (laptop, tablet, etc). There are eight (8) swiss rounds where top 8 will play a single elimination Last Hero Standing series.
3Opening Hours
Saturday 24th of March: 10:00 to 23:00 or until the last round is played, whichever comes first. Sunday 25th of March: 10:00 to 23:00 or until last round is played, whichever comes first.
Sign-ups are on first come, first served basis with a cap of 256. All participants need Event Pass to enter the venue where tournament is played. Sign-ups can be found here:
The Event pass is required to enter the venue where the tournament is held. Other activities to enjoy as spectators is a cozy Hearthstone-esque atmosphere and hang out with friends, watch the games and enjoy more casual Tavern Brawls. 6Accounts: Do we play on our own?
Yes, each participants has to play on their own accounts for this HCT Tour Stop.
7Can I bring my computer?
You can bring a laptop, tablet, mobile phone or other similar devices. You can not bring a stationary computer to the event.
8Internet & Network
There will be both cabled and Wi-Fi internet available on the venue. Please bring your own network cables should you wish to use wired.
9Sleeping & Accomodations
As the event is in the city centre of Oslo, there are a plethora of hotels to choose from during the event. However, we have a partnership with First Hotel Millennium which is a mere 180 meters away from the venue - Check out the accomodations tab on top menu.
10Food & Beverage
You will be able to purchase food and beverage on the venue. In addition, there is a large amount of restaurants, ranging from fast-food to sushi in the near vicnity of the venue.
11Am I 100% secured spot in the tournament?
Once you have signed up and acquired tickets, you have a guaranteed spot in the tournament. Good luck, traveler!
12I´m not able to attend - Can I transfer my tickets?
Yes, tickets are transferable to other users, so should you not be able to come you can pass it on (sell it) to someone who needs it. Please note that by Norwegian government rules you are not allowed to sell tickets for higher price than original (600 NOK).
